Never-the-less, they all did superb jobs some even demonstrating exceptional inborn abilities in their acting endeavor. Mohamed Khadr

In another hotly contested screen test match, to choose the main actor of the film, the above named person became the winner, Handsome, bodily well-favored and elegant, Mohamed Khadr, proved to be the most suitable for the role, among the many eligible young men who spruced up for the contest. The part of the story in question was that of “Ali’’ a spunky youngster of plebeian origin, whose love for Awrala (the main actress) brought him the wrath of her proud wealthy father; (The poor lover, who shows a lot of pluck in dealing with his stronger opponent-one peppery and boorish Hajji Raage).

In the acting exercise, Mohamed Khadr portrayed a unique compatibility with the role he played, thus proved to be a diligent, plucky actor of great ability-thanks to the experience he gained from his involvement in school drama in his schooling days. Eloquent, but soft spoken, Mohamed performed his part with éclat, demonstrating brilliance and high intellectual capacity. His affability, his strong affinity for work and sincerity, did not only help him-in the acting endeavor-but gingered up the entire process for the rest. A suitable actor for important role, one can conclude.

Ahmed N. Mohamed "Liban"

Mohamed A. Jama Rabine (Haji Rage)

Mohamed

Mohamed Rabine played the role of Haji Raage, who is the father of the family from which the story evolved. This was very important role and Mohamed performed it with profound show of genuine ability.Mohamed who is naturally taciturn, polite and amiable person was to play the role of trunculent and ferocious man. He however manages it well.

Farhio Ismail Hamud "Hooyo"

Farhiyo

Ms Farhio played the role the mother of the house. She is a capable actress and with ease, fitted into the role she played like a glove; she even got the nickname Hooyo, which means mother in the process. This made her the least stressed person in the tiring duration of the acting and shooting.

Other actors / actresses

The complete acting of the film “Ali and Awrala” did not involve only the above mentioned five. There were – other actors/actress who played minor (dewlaps parts), but never the less necessary roles. Any actor/actress, was therefore seen as important as the other only that some (the mentioned above) appeared more time than the others. All actors/actresses involved, regardless of their roles were praise worthy. They all showed great diligence as they took the bite between their teeth pruning the ultimate aim of the exercise; success.

Their grapple, their handwork and struggle, their travail and trial, all had indisputably bore the aimed at fruits. Their performance was more than the rather expected, run-off the mill, they did it well, and their apparent inexperience in the industry did not at all take the gilt off the ginger bread. It was encouraging. Well-planned, well-done, verily, it was fun.
